Fixing Our Eyes on the Unseen
Verse of the Week:
“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:18 (NIV)
What This Verse Means:
We live in a world full of noise, distraction, and constant comparison. It's easy to fix our eyes on what’s visible-success, struggles, social media, opinions, and approval. But Paul reminds us here that the visible is fleeting. Temporary. Unstable.
The eternal, though unseen, is where our hope truly rests. This verse calls us to live with heavenly focus-to view our lives through the lens of eternity, not immediacy. Faith means trusting what we can’t always see, knowing that God is always working behind the scenes.
A Visible Faith in an Unseen God:
This is the heart of Visible Christian-wearing our faith as a bold reminder that we were not made to blend in. We were made to shine with unseen hope. Our designs declare what’s eternal, pointing back to the One who is always present-even when we can't see Him with our eyes.
Just like the verse on your shirt, your life can be a verse others read.
Reflect:
-
What are your eyes fixed on right now-things that are temporary or eternal?
-
In what ways can you live more intentionally for what lasts?
